Wiraraja University (Unija) has once again demonstrated its commitment to the advancement of education and environmentally friendly technology by inaugurating a new, modern, and innovative greenhouse. The inauguration was led by the Rector of Unija, Dr. Sjaifurrachman, S.H., C.N., M.H., who emphasized the importance of this facility as a strategic step in supporting sustainable agriculture programs.
�This new greenhouse symbolizes Unija�s commitment, especially from the Faculty of Agriculture (FP), to continually develop eco-friendly technology,� stated Dr. Sjaifurrachman in his opening speech.
Equipped with modern technologies such as a hydroponic system and advanced agricultural tools, the greenhouse is designed not only to support the teaching and learning process but also to serve as a center for innovation and training. Hopid, S.P., M.P., the manager of the Greenhouse Development Unit at Unija�s Faculty of Agriculture, explained that the new facility will optimize the use of current technologies to support both conventional and modern agricultural learning methods.
�This greenhouse is not only intended for academic activities but also serves as an educational and training tool for the community. We hope this facility becomes a catalyst in producing graduates who are ready to face challenges in the agricultural sector,� said Hopid.
Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture emphasized that this innovation aligns with the government�s program to improve the quality of human resources in the agribusiness sector. �This innovation is also expected to encourage the younger generation to develop knowledge, technology, and entrepreneurship in agriculture. The collaboration between education, technology, and the economy is key to achieving sustainable development goals,� he said.
With the presence of this new greenhouse, Wiraraja University strengthens its role as an educational institution focused on innovation, sustainability, and making a positive impact on society.
