The Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) for New Student Admissions (PMB) at Wiraraja University (Unija) held a Counseling Guidance Teachers Forum (MGBK) for Sumenep Regency, a coordination meeting that took place at Graha Sumekar. The event carried the theme �Strengthening the Synergy of Counseling Teachers in the Preparation for New Student Admissions.�
This event was attended by counseling teachers from high schools (SMA), vocational schools (SMK), and Islamic high schools (MA) throughout Sumenep Regency. The main goal of the coordination meeting was to enhance collaboration among counseling teachers in supporting students through the college admission process.
In the opening speech, a representative from MGBK Sumenep emphasized the crucial role of counseling teachers in preparing students both academically and psychologically to pursue higher education. �Counseling teachers have a major responsibility to provide guidance and motivation so that students can choose the right major and university that match their potential and interests,� said one of the speakers.
The meeting also served as a discussion forum for various strategies and work programs that can be implemented by counseling teachers. The expected outcome is that the established synergy will positively impact students' readiness, especially in facing the era of �Kampus Merdeka� which offers a wide range of educational opportunities for the younger generation.
The event concluded with a Q&A session and the formulation of a follow-up agenda for future MGBK work program implementation.
