Students of Wiraraja University Achieve Success at the International Karate UNESA Rector Cup II 2024.
The Karate Team of Wiraraja University (Unija) has once again achieved remarkable success at the International Karate Rector Cup II 2024 held at State University of Surabaya (Unesa), which took place at Graha Unesa, Surabaya, from December 26 to 29, 2024.
The competition was attended by participants from seven countries, bringing together the best athletes in the sport of karate.
In the recent International Karate UNESA Rector Cup II 2024, two students from Wiraraja University, Eriesta Indah Elsa Putri and R. Muhammad Bagus A., achieved outstanding results.
Eriesta Indah Elsa Putri won first place in the Kumite -50 kg category for Female Students and General, demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication in the karate arena. Meanwhile, R. Muhammad Bagus A. also achieved remarkable results by winning:
Second place in Kumite -84 kg for Male Students and General.
Third place in Kumite -84 kg for Senior Male.
These two athletes not only brought home medals but also made their campus proud and inspired other students to continue excelling in sports.
This victory proves the quality of Wiraraja University athletes, who are capable of competing not only at the national level but also internationally.
The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Nurdody Zakki, S.E., M.SM, provided great motivation for the team.

Achieving three victories against international-level opponents by these two students is a tangible proof of the excellence of Unija athletes.
